Elevate Your Life

From a very young age, I developed a love for writing. Through that hobby, I began to escalate my ink pen collection.

Fascinated by the various designs, the smoothness of the ink flow, and the elegance each pen held, I spent hours writing stories, journaling, and learning how each pen was made. Each pen in my collection wasn't just a tool; it was a gateway to a world of imagination and expression.

At the age of 24, my life changed forever...

The Diagnosis

When I was diagnosed with AML Leukemia in March of 2014, uncertainty clouded my future. The doctors were clear – I had one of the worst mutations of Inversion (16) AML, a daunting prognosis for anyone, let alone someone who had just begun carving out a life path. Yet, in the face of this grim news, I clung to a relentless determination. Giving up was not an option; I had too much to live for, too many dreams yet to fulfill.

Miraculously, by the end of that same year, I found myself in remission. It was a glimmer of hope, a chance to dream of a future free from the shadow of cancer. I imagined a life resumed, a return to normalcy, and perhaps even the opportunity to pursue dreams put on hold by my illness.

But life, as it often does, had other plans...

Stem Cell Transplant

In March of 2015, just a few months after my initial victory, AML made a daunting return. Facing this resurgence was devastating. Despite the overwhelming odds, my resolve remained unshaken. Determined not to be defeated, I made the bold decision to undergo a stem cell transplant, fully aware of the less than 20% chance of survival.

The journey through the stem cell transplant was a testament to endurance and resilience. It was an arduous, often painful path, marked by both physical and emotional challenges that tested the limits of my strength and mental toughness, daily. However, amidst these trials, I found an inner fortitude I never knew I had. After enduring this long and tortuous road, I emerged triumphant, now proudly living cancer-free. This monumental victory was not just a medical success; it represented a profound personal transformation.

The Griffin Leukemia Foundation

This life-altering experience reshaped my outlook and aspirations. Inspired by my longstanding passion for ink pens – a hobby that had provided me solace and a sense of normalcy during my toughest times – I made a pivotal decision. I set up Griffin Pens LLC and dedicate a portion of every sale to starting The Griffin Leukemia Foundation. My aim was clear: to channel my passion into a force for good, supporting others battling leukemia and offering hope where it is most needed.
